Your login and password are the same as you use to access your account on your PC or Mac.

Download and install the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) application from the App Store and enjoy advanced trading tools to allow you to effectively manage all of your open positions and analyze prices on the interactive charts. You may also apply technical indicators and modify your positions with one tap trading features.

EFXglobal Apple iOS MetaTrader 4 Tutorial and User Guide


Scan the above QR code or open the App Store on your iOS device and find the application by typing
“MetaTrader 4” in the search box. You may also view the application by clicking here.

Click the MetaTrader 4 icon to install the software on your iOS device.

You will now be prompted to login to the server. Use your existing EFXglobal account credentials and
simply select between your EFX live or demo account and proceed to login.


Quotes Screen


As soon as you have logged into your account and every time you open the App in the future, the program automatically takes you to the Quotes Screen. On the App the market watch is referred to as “Quotes”. The Quotes Screen displays the real time pricing of financial instruments.

View Bid and Ask prices

With the App you have the possibility to change the view of the instruments from to . The view shows only the name on the instrument the Bid and Ask price. Advanced View shows additional information such as spread, renewal time and the highest and lowest price for the day. The red color indicates a fall in the rate and the blue color indicates a rise in the rate.

Add instruments by tapping on the button on the top right. In the next window you will see a list of instrument groups, tap on the relevant group to open all underlying instruments of that specific group. To select the instrument you want to trade, tap the to add it on your Quotes. In addition, you may remove the instruments you don’t like to trade or add instruments you
would like to view by are not listed in the Quotes.

Remove instruments by tapping on and selecting CFDs or currency pairs you don’t need on your
Quotes list. Simply select the pair or CFD that you want to delete and confirm your action by tapping on the in the upper right corner. When finished, tap on to save the list again.


Charts Screen and Chart Settings


To display charts, press the tab on the menu and then you may choose from a candlestick chart, bar chart or a line chart. The chart time frames are the following: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day. You may easily add indicators by tapping and changing settings. When you tap on the screen, a pop up with 4 choices will appear ,  and

By default, the chart displays black and white candlesticks on a white background. You may customize the color scheme if you would like. The following symbols at the top of your screen will allow you to navigate the platform.

AIM – Tap this symbol to activate and then you may tap anywhere on the chart to target a specific market trend.
You may press and drag the anywhere on the chart.

ELEMENTS – Tap this symbol to add elements to the chart. For example, you may add “Moving Average” and then further customize the color,
level or period to assist your analysis and decision making process. If you would like to delete an element, press and hold the element,
then press on the popup window.

OBJECTS – There are many different objects available for you to use to analyze the market. After you choose the object, the same icon would appear on the Chart page. This means that you can start drawing the arrow line anywhere on the chart. Use two fingers and zoom in and out
to see different time periods of the market.

There are 4 options on Chart settings

1.Volume: amount of tick to be displayed (1 tick per rate movement) Trade Level: shows limit order, stop order and executed orders.

2. OHLC: displays 4 price bars on the chart O: Opening price H: Highest price L: Lowest price C: Closing price.

3. Data Window: shows data windows on the chart such as applied indicators.

There are 30 types of indicators available and all of them may be displayed in the charts.

4. The indicator will be added in to the chart. You may also edit the indicator by pressing the indicator, and screen will appear.


Opening and Closing Trades


The Trade tab shows the details of your orders. Here you may view your open and pending positions, as well as modify or close them. It also displays some account information such as your balance, profit, margin, free margin and equity levels.

Placing an order from Quotes screen: Select the instrument you want to order, and select and you will move to the order screen.

Placing an order from Chart Screen: Press on the chart screen of the asset you want to order, and select and you will move to the order screen.

Placing an order from Menu Screen: Select from the Menu Screen and you will move to the order screen.


New Market Order


1. At the Order screen, choose your preferred trade volume and execution method (market execution) and tap

Please note the following trading volume sizes: 0.01 lot = 1,000 units. 0.1 lot = 10,000 units. 1 lot = 100,000 units.

2. Choose if you want to make a buy order, and choose if you want to make a sell order.

3 Tap and the order execution screen will close.


New Limit and Stop Order


1. At the Order screen, choose your preferred trade volume and execution method and tap

2. After you have entered all the necessary columns, (Stop Loss , Take Profit and Expiration) tap the button. Choose between Limit order and Stop order, and enter the rate at which you want the order to be executed. If you set Stop order and Limit order at the same time, enter stop price at “Stop loss” , and enter limit price at “Take Profit” . You can also set an expiration date for the order, by entering the date in “Expiration” (If you leave the expiration blank, the order will be active until you cancel it).

3. After you have entered all the necessary columns, tap the button and the order execution screen will close. The same procedure also applies to Sell limit orders, Buy stop orders, and Sell stop orders.


Closing a Market Order position


1. At Trade screen, hold down on the order you want to close. This opens the order details of the position. The button will close this screen. The button is for adjusting settings or modifying Stop or Limit orders. The button is for placing another new entry order and is for viewing charts.

2. A popup will appear and you may enter the rate at which you want the order to be closed, and tap button. Once the order is successfully executed, you can confirm the order ID and executed rate.

3. Tap and the order execution screen will close.


Closing a Limit and Stop Order position


1. At the Trade screen, hold your finger down on the position which has been executed and detailed information regarding the position will appear. Hold your finger down on the detailed information and a pop up window will appear, select . The button is for placing another new entry order and the button is for viewing charts.

2. Input a stop price in the “Stop loss” column and input a limit price in the “Take Profit” column. Verify the rate you have entered and simply tap the button and your order is sent. Tap and the order execution screen will close.


Modifying or Removing an Existing Order


1. At the Trade screen, hold your finger down on the target order and choose in the menu window that pops up on the screen. If you choose you may modify you order by inputting new stop loss, take profit, or expiration values on the screen.

2. At the Trade screen, hold your finger down to remove the target Tap and tap one more time and the confirmation screen will appear. At the Trade screen you may confirm that the corresponding order has been removed.


Settings and History Tab


Under the [Settings] tab, “Trade Accounts” allows you log out of your current account, or switch to another account. “Messages” allows you to see all your messages received. “Charts” allows you to edit your charts display, color scheme and style. In the “News” section you will find some market related news and articles.

When you tap the History Screen, you are able to view your trade history and deposit/withdrawal activities on your trading account. View your trade history by ‘Today’, ‘Last week’, ‘Last month’, ‘Last 3 months’ or ‘Custom’. The ‘Custom’ option allows you to view your trade history for a specific time frame. You may also filter trades based on their symbol. Simply type the instrument you are looking for in the search bar and the App will list all the trades under the search criteria you have entered.


Adding a second account


If you would like to add a second Live or Demo account, tap on and add, modify or delete any accounts in your Trade Accounts section. In the account window you will see your current account as well as the status of your connection with the server. Now you are able to switch between accounts just like on the MetaTrader 4 PC or Mac version.


Negative balance protection and auto closeout


Negative balance protection is a built in feature on our MT4 system that helps users minimize trading risk exposure. An auto closeout is triggered when the account net equity falls below the pre set percentage of the required margin and all open positions will be automatically closed at the prevailing market execution price.


How to Uninstall the EFX Apple iOS MetaTrader 4 Application


Press and hold the MetaTrader 4 icon until the icons begin to “wiggle.”

Tap the [x] in the upper‐left corner of the MetaTrader 4 icon.

Tap the Delete button to uninstall the application from your device.
