Your login and password are the same as you use to access your account on your PC or Mac.

Download and install the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) application from the Google Play Store and enjoy advanced trading tools to allow you to effectively manage all of your open positions and analyze prices on the interactive charts. You may also apply technical indicators and modify your positions with one tap trading features.

EFXglobal Android OS MetaTrader 4 Tutorial and User Guide


Scan the above QR code or open Google Play on your Android device and find the application by typing
“MetaTrader 4” in the search box. You may also view the application by clicking here.

Click the MetaTrader 4 icon to install the software on your Android device.

You will now be prompted to login to the server. Use your existing EFXglobal account credentials and
simply select between your EFX live or demo account and proceed to login.


Quotes Screen


As soon as you have logged in to your account, you will find the Quotes Screen or press the tab to display the quotes screen. The Quotes Screen displays the real time pricing of financial instruments.

View Bid and Ask prices

View the lowest Ask price for the current day

View the highest Bid price for the current day

You may choose to view quotes in the Simple View Mode or Advanced View Mode. Simple View Mode only shows the currency pair, Bid and Ask quotes, while Advanced View Mode shows additional information such as spread, renewal time and the highest and lowest price for the day. The red color indicates a fall in the rate and the blue color indicates a rise in the rate.

Add instruments by pressing your phones menu button, and select . For example, if you would like to add more currency pairs,
press the button, and select the currency pair you would like to add from the list.

Remove instruments by selecting what you want to remove, and press You cannot remove currency pairs which are still in open position, have not been executed, or being displayed on the chart window.


Charts Screen and Chart Settings


To display charts, press the tab on the menu and then you may choose from a candlestick chart, bar chart or a line chart. On the menu button, select and you may adjust the following display settings.


OHLC: Displays four bars on the chart

O: Opening Price
H: Highest Price
L: Lowest Price
C: Closing Price

Data Window: Displays pop up windows that show indicator values.

Show Volumes: Displays the amount of ticks with a stick graph.

Show Trade Levels: Displays prices of stop orders and limit orders.

By default, the chart displays black and white candlesticks on a white background. You may customize the color scheme if you would like.

AIM – Tap this symbol to activate and then you may tap anywhere on the chart to target a specific market trend. You may press and drag the anywhere on the chart.

ELEMENTS – Tap this symbol to add elements to the chart. For example, you may add “Moving Average” and then further customize the color, level or period to assist your analysis and decision making process. If you would like to delete an element, press and hold the element, then press on the popup window.

There are 30 types of indicators available and all of them may be displayed in the charts.

5. The indicator will be added in to the chart. You may also edit the indicator by pressing the indicator, and screen will appear.

CHANGE PRODUCT – Tap this symbol to display other products. Tap on a product to view its chart.

TIME FRAME – Tap this symbol to change to a different time frame and view an assets rises and falls.


Opening and Closing Trades


The Trade tab shows the details of your orders. Here you may view your open and pending positions, as well as modify or close them. It also displays some account information such as your balance, profit, margin, free margin and equity levels.

Placing an order from Quotes screen: Select the instrument you want to order, and select

Placing an order from Chart Screen: Press on the chart screen of the asset you want to order, and select

Placing an order from Menu Screen: Select from the Menu Screen.


New Market Order


1. At the Order screen, choose your preferred trade volume and execution method (market execution) and tap

Please note the following trading volume sizes: 0.01 lot = 1,000 units. 0.1 lot = 10,000 units. 1 lot = 100,000 units.

2. Choose if you want to make a buy order, and choose if you want to make a sell order.

3 Tap and the order execution screen will close.


New Limit and Stop Order


1. At the Order screen, choose your preferred trade volume and execution method and tap

2. After you have entered all the necessary columns, (Stop Loss , Take Profit and Expiration) tap the button.

3. Tap and the order execution screen will close. The same procedure also applies to Sell limit orders, Buy stop orders, and Sell stop orders.


Closing a Market Order position


1. At the Trade screen, hold your finger down on the target position and select in the menu window that pops up on the screen. Input your stop price in the column and input your limit price in the column. Verify the rate you have entered then tap to submit your order.

2. Tap and the order execution screen will close.


Modifying or Removing an Existing Order


1. At the Trade screen, hold your finger down on the target order and choose or in the menu window that pops up on the screen. If you choose you may modify you order by inputting new values on the screen.

2. Confirm your order and tap the order execution screen will then close.


History Screen


When you tap the History Screen, you are able to view your trade history and deposit/withdrawal activities on your trading account. View your trade history by ‘Today’, ‘Last week’, ‘Last month’, ‘Last 3 months’ or ‘Custom’. The ‘Custom’ option allows you to view your trade history for a specific time frame. You may also filter trades based on their symbol. Simply type the instrument you are looking for in the search bar and the App will list all the trades under the search criteria you have entered.


Adding a second account


If you would like to add a second Live or Demo account, tap on the menu button on and select the option . In the account window you will see your current account as well as the status of your connection with the server. To add a second account, click on the symbol in the upper right corner and follow the instructions. Now you are able to switch between accounts just like on the MetaTrader 4 PC version.


Negative balance protection and auto closeout


Negative balance protection is a built in feature on our MT4 system that helps users minimize trading risk exposure. An auto closeout is triggered when the account net equity falls below the pre set percentage of the required margin and all open positions will be automatically closed at the prevailing market execution price.


How to Uninstall the EFX Android MetaTrader 4 Application


Navigate to Menu Settings Applications Manage

Scroll through the list of apps and find the MetaTrader 4 Application.

Tap ‘Uninstall’ to uninstall the application from your device.
